2H Summer Reading Instructions

Annotating while reading a novel deepens your understanding of the text because it forces you to slow down and consider how description, character development, plot development, symbols and other elements of the writing develop the overall meaning, the THEME, of the novel.

A Note from 4AP Teachers
Serious and leisure summer reading offers an invaluable opportunity to increase your repertoire of reading in preparation for the English 4AP Literature exam next year and college thereafter. This summer READ TWO of the works that have appeared on previous AP Exams listed on the AP Reading List linked below.

Not only have these works appeared on the AP Literature and Composition test, but these are works which will provide inspiring reading and practice in doing what you love doing anyway: reading a good story!
